TGM in 2017

TGM was in its first year of business in 2017 and it was a great year seeing us complete condition surveys and development site surveys for a number of clients. In addition we carried out a survey for invasive weeds, seeking out Himalayan Balsam and Japanese Knotweed on a potential riverside development site.

The only aspect of the business that didn't flourish was the blog and that is something I hope to rectify in 2018.

One of the highlights was surveying this beautiful Lime tree. I have been lucky enough to survey some very large Lime trees, either lapsed pollards or historic plantings on National Trust sites, and while this isn't the biggest Lime I have looked at it was certainly the healthiest. It is an impressive 26m in height with a stem diameter of 141cm.

2018 has started well with several quotes being issued and I look forward to completing more posts here and updating you on the business development. In the meantime if you have any queries about trees please don't hesitate to leave me a comment.

Bodnant Garden

Last year about this time we visited Bodnant Garden, famed for its Laburnum Arch. We were unfortunately too early for the arch which had yet to come into full bloom but were afforded spectacular views from the many Azaleas and Rhododendrons that were in flower. Every turn heralded a riot of colour and these are but a small few of the photos I took during our early evening visit.

The Laburnum Arch begins to come into flower.

Bodnant Garden is a National Trust site in North Wales and, in addition to the plants and arch, boasts many spectacular trees, meadow and woodland areas. It is very well worth a day out and could certainly entertain you for such. Take a picnic and enjoy Britain in Bloom at its best.
